Consultation has concluded

We have chosen to integrate some innovative thinking into this splash pad design. The idea is to separate the users by age group by proposing age appropriate equipment selections. What you end up with is a Toddler Bay area, a Teen Bay area buffered by a Family Bay area with elements that cater nicely to each age group and to discourage cross over and mixing of the various ager groups, particularly toddler and teen. This philosophy of splash pad design has worked extremely well over the more than 300 installations completed by ABC Recreation Ltd.

Chippawa Park is getting a whole new splash pad in 2018. ABC Recreation Ltd. has been selected to build the new splash pad, and work will soon be underway. The first item to be completed is site servicing, where water lines are extended to allow for connection to the new splash pad. The park will still be in full swing over the next few months, and everything will remain open such as rental pavilions, community centre, public bathrooms, volleyball courts, and the baseball diamond.
